Easibind is committed to reducing our Carbon Footprint year on year, and focus on recycling initiatives to reduce waste and carbon emissions. 

We have worked in partnership with suppliers to integrate a new recycled Polypropylene which can be used for all of our existing products, such as ring binders, wallets and folders. We will continue to invest in stock, enabling us to offer our customers environmentally friendly options over POB and PVC. 

Our Closed Loop Take Back, Recovery and Recycling initiative has been well received by customers and supply chain. This involves a Supply Chain Management Initiative to provide Scope 3 Carbon Footprint Reporting, to PAS 2050 Guidelines. 

We have several major organisations who have signed up to Take Back Schemes, including Financial Services, Retailers and Brands.   

A new programme for 2012 is to work with Universities and Institutes to develop Scope 3 Reporting, through the Supply Chain. We have offered an internship, which will be looking at our supply chain and comparing the methodologies used to estimate carbon footprint, so that we can improve and validate scope 3 reporting.

Easibind works with a wide range of substrates from paper and card to polymers and plastics, so it is important to establish end of life chain of custody to guarantee the carbon foot printing and energy efficiency improvements for all our customers.

 Currently, we have introduced long life polymers such as polypropylene to have a longer life for first use applications, including retention packs for compliance, visual display packaging and point of sale and display. With our Closed Loop Take Back Schemes, these can be recovered for efficient Closed Loop Recycling, to produce 50% Recycled products that will have a similar long life use before being used for secondary recycled applications.   

With Paper and Card we are working closely with Antalis McNaughton to improve Closed Loop Recycling along the same lines of efficient recovery and recycling.
