The Heanor Gate Industrial Park, based in Heanor, Derbyshire, decided to take action to speed up the quality of broadband services, by working in partnership with Derbyshire County Council and Amber Valley Borough Council.

Our Chief Executive, Harry Skidmore, is chairman of the Heanor Gate Management Association and initiated the project.

The Association was formed 15 years ago to take positive action to improve security, safety and quality of the estate, which now has the lowest business crime rate in the East Midlands.

A 1000 Mbit/s bearer has been installed on the estate, allowing all companies on the estate to access their own dedicated superfast broadband that will enable them to improve their competitiveness and grow their international trade links through better use of technologies and software.

The new service will enhance our customer satisfaction levels by providing a faster upload/download artwork service alongside online management services.

Polypropylene can be printed using the same high speed processes that we also use for our FSC® certified paper and board range. We offer UV printing, from Digital Offset, Litho Offset, Waterless Offset, Ink Jet and Silk Screen to provide a one stop shop.

Polypropylene thicknesses start at 200 micron and finish at 2000 micron, but we have the capability of printing large format substrates up to 50mm thick.

Polypropylene is fully recyclable and our Closed Loop Recovery and Take Back Schemes offer a full service, including recycled polypropylene stock with no premium, through our Closed Loop Credit Scheme.

We have worked in partnership with suppliers to integrate a new recycled Polypropylene which can be used for all of our existing products, such as ring binders, wallets and folders. We will continue to invest in stock, enabling us to offer our customers environmentally friendly options over POB and PVC. 

Our Closed Loop Take Back, Recovery and Recycling initiative has been well received by customers and supply chain. This involves a Supply Chain Management Initiative to provide Scope 3 Carbon Footprint Reporting, to PAS 2050 Guidelines. 

We have several major organisations who have signed up to Take Back Schemes, including Financial Services, Retailers and Brands.   

A new programme for 2012 is to work with Universities and Institutes to develop Scope 3 Reporting, through the Supply Chain. We have offered an internship, which will be looking at our supply chain and comparing the methodologies used to estimate carbon footprint, so that we can improve and validate scope 3 reporting.

Easibind works with a wide range of substrates from paper and card to polymers and plastics, so it is important to establish end of life chain of custody to guarantee the carbon foot printing and energy efficiency improvements for all our customers.

 Currently, we have introduced long life polymers such as polypropylene to have a longer life for first use applications, including retention packs for compliance, visual display packaging and point of sale and display. With our Closed Loop Take Back Schemes, these can be recovered for efficient Closed Loop Recycling, to produce 50% Recycled products that will have a similar long life use before being used for secondary recycled applications.   

With Paper and Card we are working closely with Antalis McNaughton to improve Closed Loop Recycling along the same lines of efficient recovery and recycling.

Feasibility studies are being conducted to see how the broadband capacity can be used by local communities, including homes, businesses and public sector and private sector organisations.

This new development will further enhance Easibind’s customer satisfaction levels by providing a faster upload/download artwork service alongside online management services.

The latest developments further prove Easibind’s commitment to supporting the local community; other projects include Catapulting Kids Further in conjunction with Heanor Gate Science College and material donations to projects such as Mundy Junior School Community Gardens.
