EASIBIND © | PRIVACY POLICY
Our positive policies & recycling programmes show that we have moved Paper, Plastic, Wood, Shrink Film and Metal away from landfill streams into areas where materials can be reused, recovered or recycled.
Following the May Day Network 2008 Event, Easibind agreed to pledge action in key areas.
Our first pledge was to take steps to measure our carbon footprint. In September 2008 we
commissioned a Carbon Trust site survey to measure our footprint and recommend key actions
to reduce it. A number of these were implemented. Following this we applied for the independently
assessed Carbon Trust Standard in July 2009 and achieved certification in October 2009.
Using EMAS and ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems the company has monitored
its total CO2 emissions from 1997 onwards. In 2003 we established the base line reporting for
the period up to 2010. In 2008, we achieved a significant reduction in our CO2 emissions and are
on target to achieve a 30% reduction by 2010.
We work with our clients and suppliers to encourage “recycling”, “take back” and “closed loop” recycling schemes wherever possible - all with the aim of reducing waste and preserving valuable resources. Our supply partners, large and small, including those with limited budgets are also encouraged to adopt a positive approach to their own environmental policies and improvements.
